Voice recording onto cd

[16610LV]

What's the simplest way using the Pc/hifi to record voice to cd? The wife wants to record her karoake efforts onto cd/cdrom (don't ask!). The karoake machine currently outputs to our home hifi (a Denon mini-stack). The output from the mikes comes out of the hifi speakers.

What's the best way top record the songs?

Thanks!

Take the "line out" from either HiFi or Karaoke to PC "line in" on sound card check and set volume controls in control panel to make sure its not muted. Fire up some sound recording software and record from "line in" to WAV file. Burn WAVs using CD burning software (eg Nero) to AUDIO CD format. Send to record company and sign million pound contract in the morning
