I might import one, I have some experience from 2 private imports from Germany of a 993 and then 996. Anyone out there with actual experience of doing the same with US cars ? I believe the SVA test has to be done as the cars are not Euro compliant ? What else has to be done to them and how much is shipping and insurance.

Problem is you will have to pay lots in taxes.
Buy a new car from EU and pay VAT in either country of origin or UK and you're done (more or less).

From the US it's a whole different ball game (with pads and helmets and everything )
