First off i'll be using it mostly for DIY painting and the odd use for stubborn nuts etc on cars.Whats the minimum Hp,tank litre capacity/air displacement i should be going for?I want to get one that will last a while and i dont want to be saying in the future i can do with something a little more powerful:-)Any help appreciated,ta!

For full resprays you really need 12cfm minimum air delivery, which will probably get you a decent size tank too.

Worth having a word with PHer Patrick Weightman (dontlift) of www.toolsnstuff.co.uk as he might be able to ofer you a good deal on a 'second' or recon unit.

I've got a hydrovane :smugmode:, be aware of the noise of a piston type compressor, the neigbours might get the hump!!

I have a 200 litre 15CFM which copes with everything I throw at it - all the pro tools etc. The downside it's quite a lump.
