Any ideas on how to keep the beer cool without having to take a support vehicle? Our group consists of 996, A3 cab, elise and Noble. So basically the 996 and A3 will be carrying most of the load. We desperately need cold beer. Any ideas that don't include having to take a Generator and fridge? I'm camping at Houx Annex, is there any access to power there? I have camped there before but can't remember seeing any. Back up plan is a paddling pool with a regular supply of cold water. Again what is the water supply like around the site. I do remember some water distribution points.

Thanks in advance

Nobby

And if you add salt to the ice/water mix you can keep them even cooler

Worked for us last year (and the year before). The trick is to dig a big hole (spade required) and put the inflatable cooler in it.

Better still, get someone else in your group to dig the hole for you!

Take your pick ... the third one looks just dandy to me.

....i don't know about you but i plan on drinking far more beer than those could keep cool

We tried a similar thing a few years ago but was so low powered it never really got cool in the le mans heat. Nearly ended up with a flat battery!!!!

Thanks for the help anyway. All good stuff so far.

I've got a 5 day ice cooler. Keeps ice for 5 days, so that should ensure that anything inside it stays nice and cold.
