What thread size are the rocker cover bolts?

What thread size are the rocker cover bolts for a MY96 Serp engine? I don't like those 12 point heads... I'm pretty sure they're some weird Imperial size. (I don't understand Imperial bolt sizes - there are too many of them)


And why do half the bolts on the engine have to be Imperial and the other half metric? It confuses me!!

Why? Well, the Chimaera is a mythical beast made up of parts of several other beasts. You have to expect some differences!

Seriously, the engine may somewhat pre-date metrification, and in any event was orginally a US design (and they still ain't metric, bub!). Some parts of the engine are pure TVR, and are metric. Rod bolts for example. Other bits of the car are from more European origin and will be metric.
