Cerb for sale in Trader

Have been scanning the autotrader for tvr's within my budget range and was very suprised to see a 4.2 Cerb for sale at £10.5k at a trade place in birmingham. I was'nt considering a cerb as i knew they are out of my budget thus far..

Just wondered has anyone been to see it or know of it. The price is a steal if its ok but then again its set all the alarm bells ringing about its being too cheap. Aparantly its got 12 months mot but that does'nt mean the engine is any good etc...

but it really doesn't need much, if you can live with some stone chips I think you could be running a nicely sorted Cerb for under £11k

Thers no such thing as a 'bargain' cerb, and some 'fettling' can easily be £2-£3k!. In fairness to James Agger, he has a good reputation amongst TVR'ers, and I'm sure he would be honest about what needs doing. I've had mechanics hold there hands up in horror when they've heard my engine start up, because they are used to hearing the sewing machine like sound of Honda, BMW, type engines.

I have to say something here along the lines of your Dad saw it prior to it going on the web as a current customer knew he was after a cheap Cerbera - and your Dad actually sent me the following email 3 days ago

"I have my car up for sale at the minute no interest as yet will let you know when it sells if you still have the car

We could get the car all tarted up for a £14k price but as most customers like something at that end to decide whether they want lightweight headlamps, spiders etc I thought we would just let it go at £10500 and give someone a chance to buy something at trade - For the record it has a weeping shock absorber that would currently fail a new MOT and nothing else.

Just thought we would give someone a chance who may want Nitrons etc, Gaz shocks, etc for a change - perhaps I have opened a can of worms here.

350wedge - mines up for sale atm, and seeing as my house sold this week and our offer for our new house was accepted, i need to sell asap to raise some cash for moving expenses! Ive got it up for £13895, but for a quick sale I will take an offer! Its deffo worth the asking price after checking out its rivals, so if someone makes me an offer they will get a very good deal!!!

I'm going to Italy in mine at the end of July, when I come back, I'm going to stick it in at £16k with the plate & the new ohlins.

I'll knock a grand off it every month, till it's gone.

By my reckoning, if no one has it, you can have it for free in december 2007......make a good christmas present
