Is PAS an advantage or not with a chimp?

Does it affect the feel of the car at speed?

If do a search you will find lots of threads on this topic, but condition counts more than PAS or not. More like how good is your chassis !!!.

And me, the apes belong over on the griff forum....

As for Power Steering, some people prefer the slightly more direct feeling that no PAS gives but I personally prefer the pas cars. The power steering isn't too light and still gives good feedback, but it means you can actually manouvere the car in tight spaces.

All depends what you are used to,I personally still drive a old ford sierra for a daily with no power and no power steering, which is not much different to the Chim in weight .I guess it depends how old you are ,as it was standard to have now PAS back then, maybe we have all gone soft or the human muscle structure is deteriorating with evolution !.PAS is good though if you are going to use the car daily and in busy towns.I live in the country so no point in have a good daily as you often have to drive in to hedges on the narrow roads to get out of the way of holidaymakers looking around instead of where they are going, although not to bad recently as its not stopped bloody raining !!!.

The racks are different ratio so likley they will beoth feel fine - I was not a pAS convert till a few years back. Prefer on a road car now though.
