PCCB pictures...!

hi.. remember a while back someone posted pictures of there ceramic brakes that were wreaked.. just wondering does anyone have photos of what they look like when wreaked...?? are they rusty looking and if so to what extent...????

Most common flakey bits coming off , all size flakes , some look about size and thickness of a thumbnail!

lots of noice coming from them today... like metal to metal.. getting a bit dangerous now.. think i will park it up and get on to the opc that sold me the car.. only done 8k since i bought it....pure crap theses brakes

Got your mail, don't worry too much about the noise unless its getting really grinding however, the rust you refer to i can only guess is perhaps some copper or other metal coming off the pads.

Check the discs by running your finger across the face (when cold !! ) ideally they should feel like a table top very smooth. Check the back fac of the front disks especially

If it starts to feel like sandpaper either at the outside or inside then they are starting to go.

I did not bother with OPC as i had tracked it and i did not want PCCB back on my car ( i had total brake failure at Bedford with no prior warning, it looked like i had knocked a cooling duct off on one of the kerbs and the brakes disappeared.
