The 2006 Poseur run is now definetly on.

This year it's Ferrari's & Lamborghini's.

A chance to meet the friendliest bunch of people around and go for lunch.

Date: To be decided, but probably end Aug/early Sept on a sunday morning.

Meeting point: 10:30am somewhere nice in Central London.

Followed by a "scenic" drive to lunch at;

Lunch venue: Richard Bransons roof top restaurant in South Kensington. www.roofgardens.com/restaurant/overview/

Lunch cost: Sunday Lunch £18.50 for 2 courses or £21.50 for 3 courses

Parking: NCP Parking is available. If we have lots of cars, we'll arrange for security guards to look after the vehicles.

Poseur Run cost: FREE

How to confirm

Please post up if you're coming.

At the moment we're just loooking to see how many people are coming. Last year, we started off with just 4 cars and it grew to 36.

Once we have the numbers, then we'll confirm who's coming for the lunch afterwards and make the bookings.

Other info

Regardless of the number of people coming, it will still be going ahead as at least 5 people have confirmed they will attend.

My sentiments exactly. How many people saw the video and cringed over it last year?

This stuff makes an absolute mockery of REAL Ferrari owners.

Just for the record maybe you could confirm what a "real" Ferrari owner is and how they should behave.

Maybe you have time to write a code of conduct for us all????

I wasn't going to get drawn into this after the tom-foolery following the last of these little expeditions ... but ...

Go on, have a great time but please let me know the route so I can bring my young sons to watch (and then when you rev the nuts off your cars at traffic lights I can politely tell them that what the saddos in the cars are doing really isn't the done thing and the reserve of the saxo driving chav brigade).

I still don't know why so many people here are hung up on the fact that we revved the cars "once" on the entire route. Yes, only once!!!! I was at the Gumball rally start a few weeks ago and they revved more than we did, but I did'nt see anyone complaining about that.

The Tunnel run guys rev their engines and no one criticises them. (I'm not slagging off the tunnel run by the way. I've been on one and it was great fun )

If you don't like the event, then don't come. It's as simple as that. What benefit is there is posting up your negative comments. Most of them sound like sour grapes. 15hn just has a personal gripe with me and stevef is renowned for very rarely driving his car and posting drivel. He also tends to spout out the same crap along the lines of "I once did 2,000 miles in Scotland a few years ago"!!! He's probably only done a couple of hundred miles since then.

To the Ferrari owners who complain that it sends out a bad image... are you really so insecure???? Who exactly will have a negative opinion of it? The thousands of people who took photographs and waved us on? Have you as an owner never had a passerby ask you to rev the engine? Did you shake your head to them as say no, or did you rev it and watch their positive response.

So what's wrong with a bunch of London based Ferrari owners getting together and going for a drive followed up by a nice lunch.

If anyone came to last years event you would have found it to be a an extremely relaxed an informal get tother where many new friendships were forged.

Dave, we had to reduce the filed for logistical reasons, but you're more than welcome to come.

oh please reply to me.. go on you know you want to.

My life somehow wont be complete until you do..

Why call something Posseurs run if you dont expect the flack for it?

It just makes you look sad.

Tunnel run sounds fine, Gumball sounds fine.. Posseurs sounds like some 17 year old borrowing his dads car and wants to drive around all Miami vice like.

"Poseur" was used a term of self deprecating humour I suspect i.e. that the people attending were not taking themselves too seriously.

Angelis,

You just dont GET IT do you?

The Gumball is an international RALLY known for its comical antics. You continuously drive around Central London in circles with your chums revving your engines, driving wrecklessly, having absolutely no consideration for other persons within the area. The intention behind your 'get together' is to POSE. Now this may impress the tourists but do you think people who live and work in Central London are impressed? Do you think women look at you and DESIRE to be with you after you have POSED??? I think NOT.

Someone mentioned Miami Vice... well at least they actually posed and looked good on 80's TV. There is nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING poseur about your run based upon last years events. What would you say to Saxo owners doing the same thing in London as you did? Do you think that because you are in Ferraris it's acceptable?

These comments have nothing to do with what I think of you, although I do think yr a d1ck. I dont have a personal gripe with you, I dont know you, Ive never seen you and I dont even care who or what you are. I have a problem with anyone who abuses their power preventing free speech, opinion and POV. You cant delete posts here just because you dislike the person or because your ego has been dented by someone elses post.

I more than happy to discuss and debate the Poseur Run alongside Ferrari ownership. Thats what this thread is about. Not me or you so lets keep it that way.

The Poseur Run was named toungue in cheek. We like to think we have a sense of humour. The only people who take it seriously are arrogant snobs like yourself.

I'd be suprised if a person like you actually had any chums to drive around with.

You really are getting desparate are'nt you. Driving recklessely? No consideration? LMAO. If you attended the meet last year you would know that's not the case. I'm sure you don't drive fast on the open roads especially as you admitted you're not taht good of a driver since you had that accident.

No Hari, you are taking it personal. Why else would you follow me around the forums sniping at me! I've made no secret of the fact that I don't like you and you're not winning any new friends on the Club scueria forum.

FYI I don't have any powers to delete posts or close threads on the CS forum. It was the mods decision. All I asked was that one of your posts be deleted as it was hijacking an event thread. Much as you're doing here on this thread now.

As a solicitor you really should read the threads/posts properly. This thread is all about a meet that is being arranged. Nothing to do with Ferrari ownership.

I won't bother replying to your posts or anyone elses negative commments on pistonheads anymore as they don't serve any purpose and I don't want to cause Ted or his mods any aditional problems.

If you or anyone else wish to continue your tirade against me, please feel free to post on the CS website, where I'm sure many people will be interested in your views. That also includes your Rich1231.

If anyone is interested in this event, please email me or visit the CS forum for updated information.

Err... I do think Ferrari owners in their cars on the Poseur Run has EVERYTHING to do with Ferrari ownership. In fact, last year your actions brought Ferrari ownership into disrepute. The same seems to be happening this year.

You continue with your personal attacks against me. I want to do nothing but to discuss the subject matter.

You also failed to answer the questions put to you. For your convenience I have pasted them below:-

1. Do you think people who live and work in Central London are impressed?

2. Do you think women look at you and DESIRE to be with you after you have POSED???

3. What would you say to Saxo owners doing the same thing in London as you did?

4. Do you think that because you are in Ferraris it's acceptable?
