How flexible are the return crossings on the chunnel. I have only ever done the ferry previously. We have never ended up on the ferry we were booked on.....just tended to arrive at Calais and get on the next ferry. Is the chunnel as flexible as this?

providing they have availability never had a problem. They may charge a small fee.

the le mans weekend is one of the few weekends of the year that the tunnel is very busy. We have had people change there tunnel times on the day but i think it was about £30 charge. If you have one of their flexible tickets you can just turn up and they will put you on the next train. but i think if you have a different time to your mates but you happedned to be in the queue with them and go through customs with them i expect you will get put on the same train

Be careful though. About 5-6 years ago we missed our train by about 5 minutes on the Sunday night. As always on Le Mans weekend they were very busy. We had to wait about 2 and a half hours until after midnight to get the next available slot.

We always stay in Sees on Sunday now - and travel back on Monday.

I never seem to get to terminal in Sangattes on time for the return train. Must have been lucky as have always just got on the next train... if you are nice to them they are quite accomodating...
