Probably a Marcos or a Seven, or a Scimitar with more power and a better cooling system.
I did once fancy building a Marlin Berlinetta (the one with the hardtop).
Oops - forgot other Tivs.
If from the same or earlier era, I think Taimars look great, or 3000S droptop.
Everything (TVR) since is either too common, or too unreliable and expensive for me.

Must admit that I was going to buy a 1979 Pontiac Transam before I got the 450.
6.6 litres of muscle. Not a lot of BHP but shed loads of Torque. It was only when the 450 came up that I changed my plans as 450's don't come up too often. The Transam was less than half the price of the 450.
If the wedge did not exist then I think that a Marcos would have been the next choice. They are pretty scarce, handbuilt and have certain untruths attached to them......sounds familiar !!!!

Thanks for 5 minutes of heaven.
Now there is a car for cruising past the chavs at McDos.
It reminds me of a 'T-Bucket' hot rod I had back in the seventies, with Rover 3.5 and short headers - always looking over my shoulder for the cops though, with all the racket.
I'm just getting ready to shoot down to Santa Pod for the weekend as it happens.
Big meeting this weekend, so lots of lovely V8s roaring away.

I've always fancied an original Audi Quattro, or possibly a 911/930 Turbo. Which I actually almost swapped the wedge for (+ cash unfortunately these days) 18 months ago.
My mate has an Audi Quattro UR Turbo. Not over fast and no soul I was bored in 5 mins just a euro box with a few extra bits.
I always think. If I parked my car on a large carpark how easy would it be to find when I came back ?? The Wedge is very easy its the one with the small crowd of people pointing at it.
definately would be in a Esprit or Alpine GTA. I looked at Esprits when I got my 2nd 350i in about 1990 and dealers were looking for £700 a year for a warranty. Made TVRs look a) reliable and b) cheap in comparison
