My R headlight pops up intermittently. I will likely muddle through the repair but was wondering if an alternative fixed headlights with a lexan cover might not be a better solution. Anyone done this? Maybe a projector beam type?
If you don't want to mess around trying to sort the fault, wait until you've got both headlamps up and then try removing the fuses to the pod motors and the light pods should stay up all the time - if you don't mind the look of the car that way.
If you are lucky then under the motors there are some holes cut into the underbody to let you get your hand to the knobs and turn them to raise the headlights fully without power.
