I'm booked on a track day at Spa on monday; really looking forward to it.
Just now I thought I'd tinker and clean the stepper motor - wish I hadn't - I've just snapped the thread screwing it back in! Moral - if it ain't broke don't fix it.
I'll try to get a new part tomorrow but am worried that as it's the bank holiday weekend no one will be open for parts.

It's dawning on me that I may not be going to Spa now!!!

Questions and plea for help - if I can't find a TVR dealer open with the part stocked what is the part number so I can try a general parts stockist;
would anyone be prepared to lend me one to get me to Spa and back (any amount lodged as security!)
The car's a '99 Chimaera 500 in Banstead, Surrey (nr Epsom Racecourse). I'd be prepared to travel to save my trackday.

Cheers

It's a Range Rover part so try your local Land Rover agents.

If you get really stuck and don't mind a trip up to Milton Keynes I've got one I can lend you, as long as promise to bring it back!

Edited to add: I bet there's a Land Rover dealer or TVR specialist with one in stock far closer to you though.

Apparently some owners are removing theirs and blanking the hole off, with no problems.

That works fine, but not necessarily something you can do at short notice.
