Favourite tv program when little

Has to be Bagpuss.

Is it just me or was that from a completely different age of kids TV - where a program about "an old, saggy cloth cat. Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams" could have been so wonderful. (to the point of being gutted everytime it finished)?

And it was about a cat - a very popular topic at the momemt!

We've got a bod viedo. Without Alberto frog (with whom there was some licensing issues and so is omitted) it's enough to drive one mad. Still, it's good for the first 15mins or so, but an hour?!

Do you suppose the impact of Alberto being a milkshake fanatic struck children as any more odd than him conducting an orchestra of other animated anthropomorphised animals?

BotP is fab, but there's a bit of a story about how they made it suitable for a western, childrens audience. The info, and more, is at tv cream. In fact, tv cream is a one stop shop for all these sort of generational nostalgia things.

I'd add professionals to the list, too, when I got a little older.

Ahh the scarlet one.

I always thought though that Captain Black looked like he had just come home after a 3 week bender with Keith Moon and Ozzy Osbourne and Colonel White was slightly reminiscent of an aged Val Doonican.
