Didn't know they made a 3.0 V6 120

Most of the Vito range are the 4 cylinder's

The Viano range has the V6.3.2 3.5

Watch the warranty any hint of a chip mod and they throw any claim out.

Hello there Prestige sec. Ive just sold my vito 112cdi. 6 years old and has been a great van.. I,m in the process of getting a 120cdi. Have you got yours yet and if so what do you think.. I was pleasantly surprised at the high prices the top of the range used vans still fetch. Which has made me go for another high spec vehicle. That and the thought of a flying machine all helps too. My 112cdi was a very quick van. Used to pull uphill like you wouldn't believe.. never stopped accelerating. So really looking forward to trying the new V6.

Oh and I forgot to add , It uses loads of fuel so dont buy one if your looking for economy it's not going to happen Im talking average 12.8 mpg on a 220 mile run city and motorway.

I thought that the 120 was a de-tuned E-class engine from 242 down to 200 and that they can have a re-map up to 260. Got a 2.5 130 ps transporter at the mo chipped to 155.seriously considering a 120......

Its actually the OM642 engine out of the C320 which is used in the Vito 120 and a cracking thing it is too, I had one for a while when I worked at a MB dealer and had sold my demo and needed wheels. The mid range torque is amazing, I even beat an E36 M3 who decided to plant it up hill as I was overtaking him on a DC hehe As the post above says they're not the most economical of things though, I never measured the MPG but I know my fuel card took a pasting whilst I had the Vito.

Driven with care I get well over 34 mpg out of the 120 xlwb. Even when towing a trailer it rarely drops below 20 mpg urban. Most vans will drop below the 20 mpg if you boot them all the time around urban sites. I personally think the 120 is a super efficient machine that is very rewarding in terms of performance and economy. Abuse it, and it will use it, sums up the 120cdi; I understand how tempting it is. 10/10 to Merc for this amazing engine and machine.
