no voltage to startsolenoid where does it come from via what

Posted earlier in week as to unable to get cerb to turn over.

After removing starter,battery and associated wiring and had it tested(o.k).Still unable to start,hooked solenoid straight to battery via new longer cable(makes testing a cinch) and cerb turned over with vigor.

I have PDF drawings but cant see how start circuit is wired also the fuse/relay board layout is completly different in my 96 cerb to that in the PDF files?

Can anyone shed any light,does the ECU get involved or any relays other than master ignition which is pulling in and switching also the fuel pump runs.

Sorry, i dont know the answer, is there any chance of a copy of the PDF circuits you have ([e-mail]) ill have a look through the ones ive got and see if any are usefull.

The ignition control box on top of fuel tank gives a supply to ignition and starter! but dont forget it goes thru immobilliser too, which is mounted behind the helmet holder

I had a similar problem a couple of weeks back - turned out to be a blown fuse. Trouble was that the fuse was blown due to the starter solenoid pulling 50% more power than it was meant to. Anyway, listen for a relay click in the back of the car - if thats there then the line to the fuse from the imobiliser is OK, lack of solenoud click from the front of the car could be the fuse or a dead solenoid. Beware - in my case the fuse blew for a reason - the solenoid would have fried my wiring if I had just bunged a new fuse in.

The wiring on the ignition control box!
All i remember is if you look at the plug, the 2 outer wires are a pair on each side of the plug! ones ignition and the others starter! they are fatter wires than the others!
You will have to excuse the terrible discription, ive just got back from scarborough and my knees are still shaking haha
