Advice please. Had my chim 4ltr (1995) two weeks now and very pleased but! The front suspension feels softer than the rear with the old bounce test. Is this ok. The car rides and handles fine no knocks or obvious damper leaks and settles ok but as this is my first TVR and only other ride was in a Griff 500 and Chim 500 hard to compair.

I've no experience of the 4ltr suspension, but the general rule of thumb applies about it settling quickly after bouncing, then it's ok.If your happy with it then best leave as is i'd say.

You can't tell much by a bounce test because there is so much stiction. It will show up whether a damper has failed totally, but that's about it.

what you're feeling is entirely consistent with the total compression ratios of springs and compression damping combined on TVRs ... in bounce terms the rear is stiffer than the front. ie your car sounds OK as a std car.
