Drove the wifes (Ellejay) chim today - I had full permission to take it to work and loved it (so did my work mates). What a fabulous car and I need one .. NOW. Its a little lumpy at low revs but I take it that is because it is 'cammed up'. Is that so or am I talking bollocks?

does she, like, keep you in the cupboard or something?

some are a bit lumpy, when was it serviced last?
they are somewhat less civilised than most standard production cars and a little time to get acclimatised is only natural.

they are not lumpy at all on full throttle

i'd recommend you get one as soon as you possibly can.

You should buy one. One for him & one for her. I think thats fair. At least then you could compare the lumps (!). I'm going to stop typing now!

Tell her to only use Shell Optimax in the car. That lumpy feel (as you put it ) will go away after a couple of fill ups.

It cured my problem completely.

My Griff 500 had a misfire problem when cold - but a tune sorted it out. It's much better behaved at low revs now too. It still has the occasional moment of "lumpiness", but that's normal, or so they tell me.

No, I am kept in the garage.... The car is kept in the cupboard!

Yes is has recently being serviced and it now runs on optimax. Its only a tad lumpy - not enough for me to investigate further.
