At the risk of sounding a bit 'pimp my ride' a mate of mine thinks my car would look really good if the spiders were chrome, not too sure myself,

could this be done?

would it look naff?

thanx

Now I'm more of a silver man than Anthracite, but CHROME? Nah not for me. TOOOOOO BLING! IMHO.

There were some pics on here of a car with polished spiders a while ago. Didn't look too bad but I prefer the black/smoke chrome effect.

ditto, in fact I asked for the Racelines for my old Griff to be done in this effect, I got anthracite but it worked out to be a good combination in the end

Would depend on what the bodywork colour was. Some colours may suit it - most won't IMO.

Someone on here has a sagaris with black chrome spiders. They look very nice and am going to go that route with my car. I think anthracite would be too dark against the cosmos blue.

Black chrome sounds nice, has anybody got any pics?

Thanks in advance

They are just normal Anthracite wheels on the Sag, the same as mine, as there is no 'shine' to them at all! I have seen some dark chrome and silver chrome spiders though, and they both look the Mutts Nuts.

All the anthracite spiders I've seen are a lot darker, including yours in the pic on your profile. I'd assume the owner of the car knows what they've got.

It's Aztec Bronze - a Lotus colour

The people in Monaco liked it:

And so did the Gendarmes! (THAT'S NOT ME!!)

And yes Basil, ..... I 'think' they are black chrome (I shouldn't watch grumpy old women!!)

Thanks Jo, sorry, just after I posted the question I spotted that you had named one of your pic "aztec" so I guessed it was something like aztec copper, so I wasn't far off!, but just wondering (cheekily!) was it expensive? as the previous owner of my Tuscan paid £4.5k for cascade blue and I don't think I will be wanting to fork out that much when I eventually have enough pennies saved up for a new one!

Don't worry Jo, I had guessed you weren't a Joe!

It was a pearl option, so isn't in the 4.k bracket - although I can't remember how much pearl is now!

The Spiders were painted by Gatwick TVR - and look lovely when clean!

'Pristine' will do them for you. I had all my suspension black chrome coated and it looked the biz.
