Which wedges have what exhausts....?

Some are twin...some are single...

OK, IIRC,

280i has twin, one on each side.
350i generally have a twin tailpipe exiting from the right hand side.
390SE & SEAC have a large bore single tailpipe exiting on the right hand side.
400SE, can't remeber, think it is as the 390.

Of course, this is the Wedge we are talking about here, so any permuation of the above is possible

Some early 390s have a twin system - one each side and two holes in the spoiler.

Aye, my 390 lower wing has the moulding where it'd be cut out if there was a lefthand pipe.

Both my 350's had twin exits, one on either side.

My 400 has a single rear pipe.

Mine has twin pipes exiting on the same side. It's an ACT stainless job.

Someone once mentioned that it was possible to route the zorst under the diff rather than over the drive shafts. Anyone tried this? Sorry if this deflects from the original thead.

I think you will find that is how SEAC's have their exhausts routed, which is why they trash them so often.

From my observations at last year's BBWF, the 350s are the ones with the most variable exhaust systems.

My favourite was the 117db twin system on Pistolar's car (of course )

Strange - myself and Beastie went for a biot of a blat yesterday
(400 SE & 450 SEAC) and it was the 400 SE that was scraping the exhaust.

Although the SEAC looks to have a really low exhaust beneath the axle - this is not the part that ever hits - it's the middle box !

My 400SE has a single centre mounted exhaust.
The bends on the origional was too difficult to reproduce when I had my stainless one made, so I went for a single 3" front to back, in a straight line (it was round, but is now very oval under the diff hanger due to bumpy roads!).
the tail pipe still exits through the bumper
