Hi Guys,
I'm trying to edit a piece of music for a funeral, and know nowt about this sort of thing.
The piece of music is a track copied from a normal commercial CD, and I've copied the track to my PC. I want to use the last part of the track for when the congregation leave the church. I know my way round Windows Movie Maker reasonably well, and can't see any reason why I can't use it to edit a piece of audio.
So, I use a 'trim point' to cut the track, but can't seem to save it correctly for some reason. I have used trim points on movies with no prob, but when I use a trim point in this piece of audio I have trouble saving it.
What is happening is: I set the 'start trim point' at where I want the music to begin. I save this to PC by using 'Save Movie File' under 'File'. Under 'movie setting' I save it as High Quality Audio.
However, when I replay it I notice that the track length is still the same, and when I Play I get silence, until it reaches the point where I've set the Trim Point, whereupon it bursts into life. The piece isn't starting at the 'Start Trim Point', like it would if it were a movie.
Has anyone got any advice, or is there a free program I could download that might be better? I have to say, I'm reluctant to get involved with another program, as I is a slow lurner and I've got to have this music ready for tomorrow.
Appreciate any help Peeps,
Heebee
