Cayman S... at the ring?

In a word, INCREDIBLE!!
- The engine tone is just the best sound ever - no idea where that comes from!
- The brakes are superb. Seems they're only "average" when going to Tesco. Pushed hard they are very powerful stoppers and I didn't see any sign of fade.
- The handling is just too good to be true. It just goes whereever you point it.
- Suspension - difference between PASM on & off clearly justifies the £1,000 option.
- Power - yeah, its enough on the ring. Sort of. It's more torquey than you think, and of course once its going, it's going - doesn't slow down much for corners.

Errr.... you are talking about someone else - I've never said how sh*t it was and have always thought it great but never know high up the great scale until on the ring.
However at PistonFest I did say to some people how I was disappointed with the build QA and dealer QA. Like in the first 2 months I had it for just 4 weeks, that the nose was resprayed a different colour, that the boot rattled despite 3 returns, that the clutch failed at 1400miles, that windows would open whilst the car was locked, like the cold starting was difficult or that the throttle was sticking?
That was shit - the car wasn't. (ie. it was shit that it was happening, but I never thought the car Porsche had designed was bad. These were just niggles to get through)

They were very slow laps and I wasn't happy. At "slow" you get passed by all the t
tty arseholes who've been playing it on the Xbox and almost hit you as they pass. At speed I pass the same ttty arseholes quick enough for them not to be a problem and the ones that pass me are good enough for them not to be a problem. They were very slow laps! The grip out there was awful and the PSM light was constantly blinking on as those huge 265s aquaplaned and slid! I've taken the S2000 out before in the wet, but again slowly. The problem with the Cayman is it has clever electronics that may make the driver feel he has skills he hasn't!
I used to rag my Civic Type R on there in the wet though. Much easier to drive when slippy and more difficult to get out of shape though.

Hi DC! Glad you got a flight! Am staying in Houx with TVRCC City. Bringing the g/f so avoiding the pac this year and staying with some quieter people with females in the group. This means she should be sunbathing whilst I can have beers with you guys!!
We should sync our future Ring trips. I would like another 2 this year if I can.
