Brake Overhaul

Posted in the wrong section, so i'll try this one and apoligise profusly

My '98 A6 2.5 tdi is going in next week for a full brake overhaul, discs, pads , calipers stripped/replaced, fluid changed, alignment and tracking all done.

Any suggestions on what makes of discs and pads to put on, or just go for anything?

Also, what Dot level of fluid should go in it, just to try and improve the braking feel a little, cause its a big old bus to try and stop and the brakes are a little hard to judge.

Any other suggestions as to what else to check for/replace, much appreciated

If its just standard brake overhaul then go Partco/Unipart disks and pads, cheap oem equivalent parts and never heard of any problems. Brake fluid - DOT 5.1 every time.
