what exactly is corner weighting?
Discussion
Corner weighting is basically about taking the torsional preload out of the chassis. The torsional preload is very bad for handling because it makes the car handle differently in left and right hand turns. Think of a car with perfectly equal weight distribution, then jack up diagonally opposite corners so those wheels take more weight. Corner weighting evens the weight distribution out again. In practice the center of gravity is never exactly central either side-to-side or front-to-back, so corner weighting doesn't give you equal corner weights, what it does do is take out the torsional preload.
