I have had a complaint from someone down my street about the noise of the TVR. I guess that they are jealous that I own one. Both my neibourghs love the TVR and the sound it gives. When I park the Tamora on the drive people come up and say what a stunning car it is and are generally interested in it. But this guy who lives across the road from me complains about it saying I race up and down the road in it - excuse me but I live in a cul de sac !!!!!!!!

What a very sad neighbour!

Doesn't he realise these cars sound like they're going at warp factor 7 even when your doing 20mph in 1st?

Down in Solihull, my neighbours are mostly retired type and I've never had any complaints. No Victor Meldew's here.

In fact, if they're out pottering in the garden I get a wave and the lady next-door-but-one will always come and chat if she sees me and the Tiv! Her nick-name for my car is "Brum Brum"!

Most odd, as you say you can hardly race up and down a cul-de-sac.
Possible new sporting opportunity?

Best be off to B&Q for a set of ear defenders for him.

Bah humbug.

These complaining neighbours will likely fall into one or both of the two following catagories.

a) jelous
b) too much free time on their hands

If any manufacturers are reading this, there's a gap in the market.

My 4.2 Cerbera had a sports exhaust and it sounded great (I didn't please my cul-de-sac by starting it (accidentally) on half throttle at 5 am once though). My T350's got the standard exhaust and I feel a lot less guilty leaving it running in the street while I shut my gates, but I hate the fact that it doesn't scare young mothers and children around towm

Can someone not manufacture an exhaust that's got adjustable baffles ??

Cul de sac?

Hmmm.... Approach the end at warp speed... handbrake turn into a doughnut (or two)... depart at warp speed. At least you'd give him something worth complaining about and if you warn the other neighbours in advance they might want to come out and watch

I tend to start up and drive off immediately as not to annoy my neibourghs, but bleep the throttle a few times as I pass his house just to let him know to mind his own business

Getting a TVR power exhaust - uummmmmm seems an interesting idea

Your cul de sac is in need of a TVR pre and post run meet at your house.
Either that or wait till 5th November and we can start a thread for a collection to buy a hundred air bomb repeaters.

Or it could be that they just don't like the noise? Loud exhausts can be fairly intrusive, especially after repeated exposure.

Your grumpy neighbour should be thankful he doesn't live next door to itsallyellow!!

This was his drive a few weeks ago when we all parked in it!
