B******s, bloody windscreen
Discussion
Somebody hates me. Driving back from Wales yesterday and stone puts huge crack in BMW windscreen.
Never mind says I, good excuse to use the S tomorrow. Driving into work this morning and crack......TVR windscreen cracks about 3" from bottom of screen. Annoyed or what.
So, having read the forum and knowing what a nightmare new windscreens can be does anyone know a fitter in the Reading area who has done a good job???

Ralph,
Seem to remember a post last year January time(?)
Upshot was somebody found National Windscreens in Swindon (I think) were v. helpful.
I had a chip in mine last year and AUTOGLAS were less than good--- Something about the screen being on back order from Finland??
National knew exactly what I was talking about and had a replacement available for fitting within 2/3 days.

Yeap! That was me! A year last Jan. ( Impressed with the memory system!!!!)
Yes they did take CARE when fitting. The manager, I believed owned a TVR many years ago, so I had trust!. He advised me to go after the new year, when it was quiet, 3 people worked on it all morning. I was the only customer, so there was no rush. Fantastic!
Double check when ordering the windscreen as the supplier sent down a Tasmin windscreen first time round.
It was done on the insurance. Only £50 to pay!
Check out my posts, a year last Jan.
They are in Old Town, Swindon
Good Luck
