Guess what I'm doing this afternoon

I've got the ACT manifolds already - was the Y piece easy to fit ?
thanks
Chris
I suspect I made it harder work than necessary. You do need to drop the exhaust to get the Cat off, but that's no biggie (six bolts on the 'plate' underneath, one at the front (and a pipe clamp) and push the hook out at the back (don't do what I did and undo the nut where this attaches to the cross brace on the pipes... I struggled for ages at arms length to relocate it when remounting the thing).
I dropped the little jubilee clip on the swirl tank that secures the header tank link pipe, just to avoid any interference with the new Y piece as it is otherwise a bit close (only I did this after mounting the Y piece to make life difficult
). And I struggled a bit to remake the manifold joints given the 'spring' in the new bit... suspect my v bands are past their best. Ended up slackening off the manifolds to allow some 'give' while I secured the banded joint and if you can avoid that, it will save a shed load of time. You pleased with the manifolds... reckon that might be my next investment. If the neighbours don't lynch me

Thanks - yes manifolds really good - the old ones were cracked at the 4 into 1 bit - I couldn't hear them blowing but could always get a whiff of exhaust fumes in the car when the roof was on.
The car also ran smoother on light throttle after the change - that could have been something else as I had a 12k service at the same time
