Wedge buying guide in Classic & Sports Car magazine
Discussion
I've just had a chap round at the w/e asking about the 350i, took a few photos etc. Took him for a spin in the 350i (being sold - I'll get it in the classifieds soon) then a comparison spin in the 400SX to expalin why I'm selling the 350i.
So - should be an article in the next edition.
Just don't let the w*nkers in these classic mags say you can get them cheap. Taht will just keep rpices low. They get paid so badly by the publishing companies they have to slag off a car's value so they can buy one themselves. Then a while later they can praise the car to the skies, push up the values and sell at a profit.
Another fact - very few of these journos actually know anything about cars. They'll tell you the've sold hundreds of cars, but they still don't know much about them.

I also spoke to him on the phone - Malcolm? He interviewed me on being an under 30 Wedge owner and what I think the experience is like.
He is writing the guide on how to buy a good-un. He quizzed me about prices but I put him straight in as much that you get what you pay for and altough they can be had for £3k, they probably need a another few £££ to get them right.
After talking to me, he was on the lookout for a wedge for sale for the typical "what we found" column.
Fingers crossed, it might create a bit of interest and see prices rise.
This isn't the only "Buying a Wedge" magazine article to be in a monthly.
Practical Classics are doing a buying piece in the July (so I'm told) edition.
How do I know ?
Well, it's my Wedge 350i
in the piccies. Only saw the proof article so I'm hoping the whole thing is a good un.
With this interest it should help with values, which seem to have dropped over the past months.

Hi JJ
Is your yellow 350 still for sale then?
Mark.

Now in Sept 2007 issue as a service guide article.
Nice Tasmin coupe as lead photo though.
