Travelling late Thursday night, anywhere good to stop?

Due to work commitments I'm getting the 9pm Speedferries crossing on the Thursday the 15th. We get in to Boulogne at about 11pm and I was wondering if anyone knew anywhere good/cheap to stop?

Same for me. My SF ticket is 21:10 - into Boulogne at 23:00. We're just going to drive straight to the circuit via Rouen A28 blah blah. Reason being we need to get to the campsite to have some chance of a decent spot. Luckily my son can share the driving but having said that it should only take 4-5 hours total. If you did want to stop, get down south of Rouen you should be able to find one of those autoroute F1 style overnighters. If you don't know - they are unmaned credit-card access jobbies. Not exactly stylish but a warm bed and a hot shower will freshen you up.

I'll ask my brother what he wants to do. After a day in the city I doubt he will want to drive all night. What will you be driving? I'll be a silver Subaru Forester turbo nut job thing

I would suspect at that time of night, Boulogne to Le Mans can be done in under 3 hours, easily.

Ahhh.. 'fraid I can't keep up with a turbonutterjob. As my tag suggests I'm a biker when things get fast but for this trip I'm taking my boys (19,17 & 12) for their first trip (my ninth) so I'm in a super-cool-bad-ass umm..... fuggin-boring-as-cold-soup 6 seater Mitsubishi. With push bikes on the back. And a top box. Need I go on!

We'll be flying at an altitude of a steady 6ft and at a cruising speed of 85mph. Can you handle that? Be cool for the kids to have some hot cars in tow but if you're on a mission then p'haps we'll see y'all there.

If you see us en-route I'm sure my boys would appreciate a do-nut or two.. give us a toot!

Me and my group always come down thursday night, then stay in france somwhere near to the port, always in Formula One hotels...cheap as chips, good showers and brekkie too! Its about 28 euros for a room (max three peeps!)

Bonus is, the car parks all have locked electric gates too

We are now thinking about getting a hotel somewhere near Rouen. It's about 100 miles from Boulogne so shouldn't be too tiring. This also means we'll get to Le Mans earlier and hopefully find somewhere to pitch the tent

The F1 HOTEL Rouen nord Isneauville can be had for 28 euros for a room. We've stayed there the last five years. Don't bother with the breakfast mind..
