Hey eric, were you up in scotland last week? If so, know a dude who went past you on a red triumph and gave you the thumbs up. Not sure if yours is the only red vx here or not.

Could have been me. Was it on the M90 just over the Forth road bridge? I remember a guy on a bike giving me the thumbs up as I was going to work in the afternoon. Mine's a red VT

Ah sweet.. yeah, that is him then.. Ah cool, didn't know you were up there, I think we should definitely have a Northern meet sometime soon. Need to go to Edinburgh to grab some milk at some stage.

Who's up for a northern meet? Maybe a drive around the mountains. Love, I think it was the A82 between Fort William and Glasgow.

Definitely on for that some time. Any excuse is a good one! I don't know how many Scottish owners we have or in the north for that matter, there must be a few.
Need to get my rear bumper resprayed soon! Did the guy on the bike notice that? Some tit has dragged something down it and taken some nice scrapes out!

just name the time and place to meet. Can recommend a nice little caf/restaurant in Arrochar for a spot of lunch, complete with carpark at end of Loch Long for the obligatory photo shoot.

apart from Jeff (V6 JDT) and myself I don't think there are any other Scottish owner's on here now. There was a guy on for a while but he hasnt posted in ages so don't know if he still reads the boards. I have now heard of the following cars in Scotland though :

silver monaro : dave52's still for sale in edinburgh
silver monaro : peebles
black monaro : peebles
yellow monaro : cumbernauld/dullater
yellow monaro : livingston
red monaro : paisley - foxbar
black monaro : alexandria (off a82)
blue monaro : Jeff's on Orkney
silver(?) monaro : also on Orkney
black monaro : motherwell - mine

That's all the spottings I've had reported back to me by various people around the country though the only one I've ever actually seen on the road was Dave52's car.

Black Monaro 1/2 Scottish 1/2 English (the car), Aberdeen, heading south this evening, Dundee, Perth, M74, M6, A66, A1 to south Yorkshire to meet the neighbours. When I have time I go Aberdeen, Banchory, Braemar down into Perth, brilliant scenery, roads and no traffic or scameras.

you'll be passing right past me then this evening - I live about 5 mins off the M74 at junction 6. What sort of time you expecting to be going past? Could stop for a coffee break if you were up for it?

WF - Don't expect to be leaving Aberdeen till 18 - 19:00 hrs ish, that would be 22:00 ish at yours. Apreciate very much the offer, day time i'd love to meet up, that time of night i'll be wanting to get home to mumma, wouldn't like to upset your neighbours as well with the obligitury greetings (reving of engines) LOL. Next day trip i do on the way back i'll give you a mail and maybe we meet for a shandy or two (2) max. It's 7 hrs of pleasure door to door for me, normally just stop for fuel.

yeah no problem - was gonna suggest meeting at the services anyway - their coffee is better than the stuff we keep in the house Let me know next time you're blasting past - might be the first time I get to see a VXR version in real life!!

Mid to end July would be fine with me Bob. I am in Glasgow either 19th/20th or 26th/27th so anywhere in Scotland suits me for a meet.

WF - I'll time it to M74/J6/nearest services to night and catch you next time. Normally get to leave earlier, this time late departure longer inbound, getting through Aberdeen rush hour is a nightmare, can add an hour to journey. Next trip back south will be around 2 weeks. Been donkeys since I had motorway service coffee, always thought it was bad, times must have changed. The paraffin budgie approaches, so its lights out time for me.

The yellow 'Ro in Livingston knows you guys are here but don't know if she's registered. She's the sister-in-law of one of the Type r Scotland members I know.

The silver one for sale in Edinburgh...any details? Not a VXR is it?

I've had the RX8 for a year now, the kids are getting big enough to only need booster seats rather than bulky car seats so the search for a silver or black LS2 is now starting and I intend to have one sometime in the next 12 months...shame Belmont are being so useless in using Network Q to locate one :?

silver one in Edinburgh isnt a VXR - its faster!! Its got the exhaust, headers, MAFless tune, OTRCAI, VXR brakes, ripshifter and last time on rr pushed 412bhp - before the otrcai mod. Let me know if you want to go see it - was talking to the guy dealing with the sale today keeping him up to date with progress.

Hmm I'm on the type-r forums as well, bought a civic as a runabout. Get word to that woman to come on here and say hello if you can. I've got half of Livingston trying to find out where it is so I can go leaflet it and get them on here

LOL. If you're on CTRO: http://civictype-r.co.uk/phpbb2/index then PM Catz. It's her sister in law. Bizarrely, it went down our street a few days ago then back up! Strange coincidence. Apparently she's house hunting in Murieston.
