1999 450 ARRIVED ON SAT, STILL GRINNING... COUPLE OF QUESTIONS PLS
SMALL AMOUNT OF CHASIS CORROSION ON THE OUT RIGGERS ANY GOOD BODYWORK FIRMS IN THE SOUTHEAST?(WATFORD)
AND THE FRONT TYRES ARE WORN ON THE INNER EDGES ?
I HAVE NOTICED I DRIP OF OIL PER DAY, I THINK ITS THE SUMP GASKET IS IT COMMON?

Tyre wear? get it laser checked and set.
Oil drip? TADTS have it fixed on your next service.

Welcome bloke. Good choice.
Tyres- tracking. Sump- no big worry and pretty easy fix. Bodyshop- I can recommend 'Option 1', they're not local to you but do a pick up service I believe.

for the outriggers try "Wirebrush and Hammerite".. they're pretty local to you

Nope, just keep a bit of an eye on them and give them a clean up and hammerite/waxoyl once a year. TVRs are good at staying shiny on the top, not so good at it underneath.

(ah and have a look at the front wishbones at the same time as they tend to get a bit cacky too)

Welcome to TVR Ownership...

Chassis - could also try POR15 after wirebrushing (lots of previous threads on this)
Oil Leak - nothing to worry about unless it's a puddle, you could get it fixed, but it will come back eventually
