HD Terrestrial TV
Discussion
OK, so given that the BBC is running a 12 month Freeview/terrestrial broadcast trial of HD TV in London, and it's unencrypted...
....any idea where I can get a freeview digibox that does the HD thing too?
Here's an American version, but no idea if it would work over here:

As there's simply no way Sky is going to catch up with it's monster backlog, this has got to be a good alternative to catch the World Cup in HD.
Technically the Freeview trial is only available to selected trailists via modified set top boxes. However there are a number of forums where people are claiming to have hacked the signal using a PC.
The alternative (if you can find one) is to go for the BBC's free-sat trial from the Astra satellite, but be warned some of the Free-Sat HD boxes can not receive and decode the BBC's HD signal and demand for these boxs is very high!
