Chaps, Moh will be off to her new home soon, another welsh wedger. 
I'm in a quandry.....I have always been a wedge fan, and in particular wanted a black 400...but....for similar money, I could get a ropey chimaera which I could work on.
Wedges (imo) Rare, sound nicer, more enthusiast based, but ultimately older, parts more difficult to get hold of (the steering rack that went on to moh is a prime example...) but generally a bit bonkers, with the enthusiasts equally as mad, and in my opinion no one can touch the cameraderie....
Chims....Newer, faster in general, don't sound as nice, but easier to work on with parts easier to find....however, generally driven by 'nigel' the estate agent that doesn't have a sodding clue about his big end from his shims....now I know I'm generalising, and for all of those chimaera drivers that are enthusiasts I apologise...
I suppose I have posted in here because I'm happy in here, but do I go lairy 400se preferably in black (with bonnet vents and loud exhaust and and and and and.
) Or do I go chimaera......
There's a corker of a red 400 in the classifieds though - unfortunately I can't afford the REALLY nice red one Mr Redcar, but all credit to you.

I have the same thoughts Silverback. I have £5k or so tied up in the wedge and thinking I could sell my everyday Audi TT as well as the wedge, pool the money and get an X5, a Tuscan, a Boxster S, an M3...
But then I go for a quick hoon in the wedge, stand there looking at it and come to my senses. Whilst a chimp might be the sensible route, the fun route would be the Wedge. You only live once.
