I thought of you with yr new toy earlier, because I saw two of these today - one that seems to live on the A350 just south of Shaftsbury and another that followed me round the Bristol ring road, then headed off towards the M4.

Always been smitten with these since my brother had a Monte Carlo version. I like to think of them as a "pocket" Ur Quattro.

Classic - have fun, and would love to see you and it at VW next week!

There's a nice looking integrale (not sure of exact spec but I think it's turbo) on my estate.

It's got one of those stickers on it saying it'll be towed if it's not claimed. Been there a few days now.

Who do I talk to to buy it if it turns out it has been dumped???

If you believe the rumours about Lancias, Funky's will soon be left somewhere with a "Police aware" sticker... ;-)

nice Dan, I was wondering whether to spend the couple of quid I knocked the guy down on AA cover? I think you've just made my mind up for me.

Well done Mike.

I wangled a test drive of a 16v a long time ago (couldn't afford to buy unfortunately). Never forgotten it, they really are something special.

DAZ
PS1 - Of course your number plate is still relevent, can you put it on?

PS2 - what model and colour please, apologies if you've said elsewhere.

Mike

If you bank with Lloyds and have a platinum account (or something) you get AA cover.

With any luck, you won't need it. LOL, oh the optimism.

Going to make the track day at Donington on Feb 26th? I should have mine sorted by then (might be having a cast lower intercooler pipe since 1.4 BAR ripped a 5" whole in the rubber pipe).

Dan

PS If you think it's fast now, wait until you get it chipped, etc - scary.

Yes, it's Frosty from Delphi s you know how much I spent on mine!

FE springs
Prestocar chip, plugs, etc
K&N
Red Dot disks, pads and fluid
full service (diff oil, etc)
cambelt change

1.4 BAR is big fun although tricky to handle.

Not as much as I'm going to have to spend on mine now the fker has decided it just wanted it's engine to seize on my way to work, which was nice. This may be that straw that gets the camels back, snaps it in two, rips its head off and shits down its fing useless Italian neck.

But you know the second you get it running again you'll be harping on about how wonderful it is. Isn't love a funny thing?

So true. I had one for 3 years, I reckon I spent more time under the bonnet than I did in the driving seat but for all that I only look back and see the good bits....
AA membership is a must, the RAC got me home on many, many occasions.

You don't own an Integrale, you just take over the maintenance for a while......
