not in my experience. been pulled for speeding on a couple of occassions and they never mentioned it. had friendly plod look at my car at the services and whilst parked up for lunch and again never any probs. if you're worried just buy a magnetic GB plate from halfords and take that with you.

No good when you have GRP body work like me then. But I have just put a small GB sticker on the back of my tiger just in case

Either apply 2 coats of wax before applying the stickers....note the gumballers don't seem to have any probs on their exotica. Or go to halfords and buy one of their number plate sized GB badges. I would avoid giving les flics any points of issue should you get pulled for making progress.

GB sticker is legal requirement, but then so is a warning triange and I doubt that many people get stopped and asked to show their warning triange.

Either go without or you could try putting a small piece of metal in the boot and seeing if a magnetic sticker is strong enough to find it and stick to it.

Tip 1 - blu tack a standard GB sticker on the inside of the rear window

Tip 2 - smear a very thin layer of vaseline on the sticky side of the GB sticker before applying it. Once you're back take it off and wash the car - job done

Having said that I've not bothered with one for years now with no problems (always keep one in the boot though along with some spare bulbs).

I think a bit of 'ill placed' black sticky tape will do!

Pete

If like my griff you only have one reversing light ( hope it is supposed to be like that !! ) buy a small halfords gb stick on sign and stick it on the non working light

No GRP problems and it comes off easily when home

Years ago.... sometime in the 80s I saw French plod wandering round cars leaving Calais for Dover. They had a look at the backs of the cars and sometimes had a word with the driver. I wandered across to find out why - no GB sticker!

Bit mean to do it on the way out of France though. I didn't see any tickets being written but if there had been I reckon almost a third of the drivers would have been reaching for their wallets.

I always put one in the rear window of the Cerb. Mind you, you can hardly see it through the dark window tint!

If you have blue euro 'GB' tab on the numberplate , sticker isn't needed.
May be obvious but I've seen a few cars with both!

I just bought a GB oval with union jack underneath which makes the text only about a inch high - will trim it & stick on my rear fog on the 7
