would it be possible to have a button at the bottom of each page, to take you back to the top of the page? Think I'm getting carpal tunnel with all the mouse wheel action scrolling up to the menu area!!

you mean shift and home surely. Shift and end to get to the bottom in a hurry.

Either way, space goes down half a page at once, shift+space goes up.

Home and end work on their own if nothing has focus.

I dont know why keyboard shortcuts in browsers arent more widely used.

Discovering that Backspace = BACK was a revalation.

What's the opposite of that, Matt? I mean that's scroll up - what about scroll down?!

Re the original question - Home and End, no need for the shift otherwise you'll select stuff!

Space on its own goes down a page at a time...

didn't know the shift-space one, that's handy - consider the request removed

Well I never! Thanks!

I use a few things like this...backspace for back a page for example. Other useful ones are Windows+E for explorer, windows+R for run, Alt+F4 for closing things and left-left-right-left-square-square-circle for unlimited power.

Space does the same as PageDn. On that basis I'm sure you can work out which key does the opposite. The arrow keys also scroll, up down, left and right (slowly).

Yes, but these shortcuts are Windows/Microsoft standards, and supported by IE. Obviously, with IE being the lowest common denominator of browsers, all others will replicate this basic functionality.

I see where you're coming from but the shift and space shortcuts are there for a reason; when using a mouse to use the pg up/down you have to take your hand off the mouse or move your left hand from the other side of the keyboard. Using the (newly found) shift and space keys means your left hand stays in shortcut pose. Hence the usefulness of windows key.

Ghostzilla (based on an old version of Mozilla) seems to support space for page down, but not shift-space for page up.

Get Firefox and Mouse Gestures extension. Top of page = drag mouse right then up (or whatever you want to program it to be). Back is mouse left. Forward is mouse right. And so on. (all with the right button held down)
