I bet somewhere on PH someone knows all about nightclub lighting systems for a new venture, or is a supplier.
I may be wrong however.

DMX lighting?

I can sell you Rako RF modules that control DMX lighting that can in turn be controlled by computer.

?? Lost me there.

I am an installation sparky who wants to install a new system to an empty building. The client/owner wants to control the whole builing lighting from a central computer, dimming lights, having different areas for different uses/times preset. Linked to cameras, taped video, fire alarm and emergency lighting.
Dont ask why Quote 'make it the best club in the UK!!! cost is not really an issue' but I may be out of my depth here.

Entirely new wiring scheme?

If thats the case I would look at something like EIB/KNX (European Installation Bus) or Clipsals C-Bus2 system, not cheap mind you, around £1000 per dimmed circuit.

Both bus based dimmers with cat5 running to switches (ie no power) and both interface with a programming system that downloads control information to the bus itself.

The nightclub lighting for the dancefloors etc will almost certaintly be something called DMX

You could achieve full building lighting control and control of the dancefloor lighting using Rako (www.rakocontrols.com) for signficantly less than that...

Mail me via profile if you want further info, happy to help.

Edited to add: Can also help with the cameras, control system etc.

This is going to need some specialist design work with full installation drawings and calcs to satisfy building controls, fire officer etc.

Plotloss you are a star.

I have an unknown budget to spend on design, installation and commissioning.

Everything from 400Amp TPN mains equipment, lights, small power, door entry, fire alarm, E lighting, hand dryers, car park lighting, kitchen, bar & restaurant supplies, and a 12 V battery door bell etc

Data, CCTV, techy stuff extra

What do you do as a living, not prying just wondering if we could both do each other some good.

I run a Home Automation/Lighting Control/Structured Cabling/Domotics (new one on me too) company.

Specialise in the residential market but most of the stuff is applicable to a commercial environment as thats where most of the technology as grown up.

I think we should definately chat, as not being a qualified sparks myself I cant touch anything electrics based unless it falls outside Part P. The rako dimmers do fortunately unless of course they're in a garage/bathroom/kitchen/you know the rest...

Yes I know, I employ 18 sparkys we are basically the prostitutes of the electrical trade ..... anything for money.

Site meetings and design just starting.

NICEIC JIB etc its just that this may be my biggest contract to date and all to be completed by Xmas, E Lts, Fire Alarm, Lights, power, supplies to 1000A TPN piece of cake (expensive cake but just variations on a theme) we run data and telecom lines no worries but control systems to me are contactors and small plc's
