Over clocking an ATi X800 card
Discussion
I have heard that the ATi (i bought one in the end) X800 is basically a cut down version of an x850. The way that Ati can cut the cost is that only 12pipelines are used instead of 16 (on the 850).
Considering i have a the AGP version, does anyone know where i can get a BIOS flash so that i can open up the other 4 pipelines that are currently turned off?
thanks

I wouldn't recommend doing this.
Often manufacturers will make the high end chip and any that fail to meet minimum spec will be tweaked to be a lesser chip (i.e. chip fails 850 tests but can be an 800).
It is also true that manu's will just use a higher rated chip if they must due to a shortage of the lower spec part.
You might be lucky and yours came from a batch of pure 850's and they'd run out of 800's.... or you might be unlucky.
