Fernando Alonso has been on a roll. I see a bright future for him!

He can't be a future Scumacher, because he's not a complete c***!

Alonso doesn't drive dirty (or at least, he doesn't make it as obvious as Schumacher), therefore, he cannot be a future Schumacher.

But if you're talking talent-wise, we'll have to see how he performs next year in a new team. Renault, as a complete package, has been far too dominant recently.

Well the he has the 2006 Championship in the bag.

The interesting thing will be to see what he can do with a McLaren in 2007.

Maybe he can do for McLaren what Muppet Shoemaker did for Ferrari in the mid/late 90's and help bring the team back to prominence from their current almost ran status?

I certainly hope so. I wonder if any of the Renault engineers will move with him to McLaren like Byrne and Brawn did when Schumi went to Ferrari.

Blimey!

Not alot of love for poor old Schumi here

I can't see Alonso being as dominant though, there's loads more talent in F1 these days (Button, Raikonnen, Rosberg etc) which is a good thing mainly cos it means the smarmy little spaniel can't keep winning for ever.

I can see him being more successful than Schumacher. Certainly in terms of ratio of wins to races entered.

Well yeah at the moment but wait til he's at Mclaren , i mean they're hopeless this season. They'll probably get better but not overnight.

Just like Schumi and Ferrari - Two championships at Benetton then years of nothing.

I guarantee he won't break the car as often as Kimi does.

That man does seem to take too much out of his kit...

Watch his reaction when asked for autographs etc. He's no saint...
