Unwanted shower....!

Went to tank up the company Concorde the other night. Whilst filling up, I glanced down at the fuel hose and realised it was perished to hell near the handle.
"Hmmm", thought I, "That looks like it it's about ready to..." at which point the hose split and sprayed me with diesel. Right in the mush. Lovely. Now, either there's an auto cutoff or the young attendant was on the ball because the pump sharp shut down. Said yoof unlocks the doors and comes over to clean up, suggesting I move the van to another pump and finish filling it up. So I did, and bugger me, the hose was just as bad, though it held out long enough for me to fill up.
"That's odd", says he,"The hoses have just been checked..."
True enough, the petrol hoses were all fine.
I was on my way to Leicester to see me Julie at the time: I had to come home, have a shower and throw all my gear in the washing machine. Just got back and found it doesn't smell a whole lot cleaner.
I fear a stiff letter to the management of said fuelling establishment may be in order.
