Following TVRBob's thumbsup, I took the 400SE over to Falcon Engineering on the Skippers Lane Industrial Estate in Middlesbrough.
I'd noticed a bit of a misfire at higher revs, and also wanted a general lookover, as the car is slightly unusual, with its Chim HC engine and new higher lift cam.
Anyway, I'm happy to report that the service was EXCELLENT, professional and very reasonably priced.
It seems that I may be needing a new distributor (and the timing was way too advanced) but at least I've avoided all the messing around and wasted money renewing plugs, leads, coil etc.
There was a nice Racing Green TVR S series in there, not sure if the owner is a PHer.
