Sticker number plates

Hey guys, anybody know where I can get some sticker style number plates made up ? Would be ideal if they were in the South Yorkshire area.

I've got a big piece of the reflective white background - can flog you a piece! Get the numbers done by any graphics shop. put the background on the car first, then the number piece on top. Worked a treat for me.

I have had a stick on plate on my car for three years now without any hassle despite these being illegal AFAIK. Given the grief suffered by bikers over their little plates I think it's only a matter of time before plod gets around to kit car plates. The cameras can't make them out, you see, not the ones on the top of nosecones anyway.

As long as you are seen as making a good effort I doubt if you will get bothered by Mr Plod. The only people that deserve to get pulled are the ones with fancy fonts or ridiculously small plates.
Most sevenesque kit cars have quite a job mounting a standard plate so the sticky back variety is the only option left.

I have a confession- it's to go on a BMW Z3 and not a kit car- I just knew that the kit car forum would be the best place for advice !

www.europaspares.com sell the bits. Completly illegal and these are designed for shows only...

I am told that you can get them from FancyPlates as well. Just specify that you want self adhesive ones in the additional notes section when ordering.

The policeman I spoke to on the subject of stick on plates (not a traffpol but still does the odd pull for silly things) said 99.99% of officers honestly wouldnt care about stick on plates providing they are not in a silly place and are of the correct font/spacing/size

Don't know about a BM, but this clause helps with the Stratos!
From the DVLA website:

Display of Vehicle Registration Marks on Imported Vehicles
(which have a restricted space for a standard sized number plate)
Certain imported vehicles may be permitted to display number plates with smaller characters if:

The vehicle does not have European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval

AND


The vehicle's construction/design cannot accomodate standard size number plates
Specifications for smaller sized plates (for certain imported vehicles)
