im changeing my carpet today and req to take the rear of the hood of to get to the carpet under the trim can anyone tell me how to remove the hood thanks
I understand that it could be a mare. Held in by a metal bar and secured with nut and bolts that are very probably tin wormed to death.
Enough of a lip to tuck the carpet under rather than surgery?
ive found 3 10mm nuts under the carpet in the boot 1 came out ok the other 2 the bolts are turning any ideas on how to prosead ?
Not really as I was going to attempt my old one when this was pointed out to me. There may be problems ahead etc. Told I may have to just cut them off and replace with stainless. I was going to borrow the bolt cutters from work but changed car instead. I was "reliably" informed that if it wasn't for the rusty nut and bolts it would be an easy job.....

I've just removed my hood last weekend, 2 bolts came out ok, one nut was turning the whole bolt, sprayed with wd40 left a few hours and then used a pair of mulgrips to hold the bolt whilst undoing the nut. Space is a bit tight for this, but persever and it will evntuall come off
i used a 90 degree angled screw driver on mine

They drilled them out through the hood material! Then replaced the hood and put in stainless hex bolts.
