This is where you start to get pissed off with me as I would rather ask then make mistakes , Where are the best points to jack up little moh ? I want to have a look at my front brakes (if it has any lol) and also find and check the fuel tank breather pipe . Ian

hi mate i normaly jack the front up at the front x member under the engine with a trolley jack with a piece of carpet protecting the x member jack it up nice and slowly

I do mine under the upright where all the others join for the front.


At the back there's a double edged crossmember by the pipe. I usually use a block of wood and a trolley jack in the middle there.

Thanx chaps had a good look "how did tvr ever think those little bakes would stop a car like that" so I am going to see if I can fund a upgrade to granny estate calipers and vented discs with braided hoses and 5.1 fluid.

Leave em standard Richo, it's part of the experience! adapt you're style of driving to suit it's much more fun - use the gears to brake and listen to that beeeuutifulll overun (o yes and save your self about 500 quid.

Wish I could dicky but if you have ever been over this side of Wales you will know what the roads are like Great driving roads but working brakes r a must if only for my confidence , I have so far done aprox 200 miles and not realy give her any welly but have "lost" my brake pedal twice and more worrying last night I had a over heat and a binding brake that reduced moh to a walking pace .
