Paul, mate, it's just getting the dosh together as ever!
Scott, these wheels are the coolest out there. BBS do a lighter wheel that Mathey use, a 1 piece one that is even more expensive, but I prefer this one, the lovely BBS gold-spoked motorsport wheel, in aluminium alloy. The magnesium alloy version is the one you will see on many Porkers, but this new alumium version looks the same except for smoother spokes. Same weight and price, but stronger than the mag. Bang on Toyos or Pirellis and you will be fine! Don't confuse it with the BBS Le Mans wheel. Similar looking, but not the motorsport item.
Spa was good, but very wet a lot of the time.
Don't know about the centre caps! They look very very cool with just the BBS stickers on the rims.
In terms of size, I think BBS can make them in any size you want, within reason.

Cost, weight...same tyre sizes as standard wheel?
Can you fit Porsche centre caps to them too?
Could be just the job for trackdays with a set of Toyo R888 wrapped round them.
Heres a pic of mine with BBS centres> they do dummy centrelocks but at the price they charge they are staying in shop!Only recently bought these second hand but delighted at look< but I do want the centres painted gold

[/URL] Johnny's right about the finish on the aluminium centred vs the magnesium.....magnesium is much more textured where as ali is v smooth. Also ali are kind of
'scalloped' out in the spokes whereas I don't believe the mags are.
Be warned they need to be looked after as the rims themselves, not the centres, are totally unprotected and can tarnish very quickly if deposits are left on them.

Thanks for all the kind comments on the wheels, and particular thanks to John (Johnny S) for hosting the pics.
There's another thread on the subject a while back in which I was trying to source the wheels, but to summarise they are built to order by BBS Motorsport and are roughly the same cost as Porsche original wheels. Problem is, getting a build date as they enter the summer season is an adventure in itself.
Re adjusting the wing, it could be just psychological, but I'm pretty sure it's lopped almost a couple of seconds off my lap time at the Dubai Autodrome which is a 5km medium to high speed circuit. I can't honestly tell if it's induced lift at the front (or perhaps my ability to settle the front end into turns is getting better). Anyway, it looks cool, so there. Shame I can't see out the back any more...
