Just finshed checking the tent. Never been to Le Mans before. Planning on taking the Sagaris. Have no ideas where we are camping as being arranged by someone else however I am told the field they were in last year was full of ditches and there was a big kerb to go over to get in !!!!. Despite Ferraris and the like being in this field last year I am now panicing as to how I will cope with the Sagaris ? Can anyone offer any advise. Also going over with Speed Ferries from Portsmouth. Am I liklely to have issues here ? Many thanks

Don't know about the camp site ditches etc.
Re ferries, to and from Belfast and Zeebrugge this year, no problems getting on and off - the staff always check low slung cars and direct them to the top deck / easiest way on. It's not in their interest to have cars stuck / damaged.

I am also going speed ferries on Thursday with the Sagaris...not expecting any problem - the Cerb was fine last year - the Sag is lower but just take your time and have someone watch for you if it looks close :-)

What time are you crossing from Portsmouth?

Watch the grating on the exit ramp (if the boats are the same as at Dover?). I rubbed over these and the vibration caused both my driving lights to explode!

You should be fine in the campsites as long as you use care. Last year the ground was very hard and firm (loads of Dust) in Houx Annex, didnt have any problems other than.....................

Taking a spare bonnet, Windscreen, Wheel and Radiator this year just in case

Quick update!

Spoke to the WWM crew last night they overnighted in Portsmouth...bonnets are mostly still on no issues to report, other than some waiter trying to overcharge them in a "French(ish)" restuarant, Yanmar had been on the Red vino, and wixer was drinking a nice pink champers!
