i think the replies you will get are 'dont buy a car without one'...

Get a good independant check over 1st then put opc warrnaty or similar on the car.

OPC warranty requires the 111 point check so if you went to an indie you'd have to pay for two inspections

In my experience the results are variable - I had the same report at 2 OPCs within 2 weeks of each other on the same car - you would have thought they were talking about 2 different cars. They both also missed a major coolant leak and electrical fault.

IMHO its only worth it if you are following through with the warranty - the report on its own won't give you much reassurance that the car is ok.
