GT2 with tubi exhaust system

Does anyone have a 996 GT2 fitted with a Tubi exhaust system?

Any recommendations, contacts, etc?

A friend at work has a full tubi system on his GT2. Took me for a spin around Canary Wharf at the weekend....I'm surprised the buildings are still standing. Awesome sound. I was speechless!

Also, Weltmeister upgrade: revo ecu upgrade, induction upgrade, ceramics to racing steels etc etc

Full tubi was £2700.

Thanks for that, I'll bear it in mind. I've only just bought my 'cooking' GT2 so I'll get used to it before getting even more power.

The car should be in next months GT Purely Porsche he thinks....

I have only had my already modded TT for a couple of days and I was'nt too happy with the way it sounds. I have been looking at a number of after market exhausts on the internet.

I spoke to the guys at Scuderia Systems for some advice and went down to their office in Egham. Nice pair of lads, really enthusiastic about their cars and know their exhausts. I had a mate who had a Tubi Style exhaust bought from them a couple of years ago, and I remember it sounding absolutely glorious - it use to howl like a La Mans car on Boost!! I have just bought one, and I cant wait for it to be fitted.

May be wrong but I believe the GT2 and TT have the same exhaust. You can have a listen to mine if you like once its on. Hope this helps.

Yes I too have the economy model and the systems are the same.

Had the Tubi about 9 months now........sounds like a Lemans racer when you nail it but sensible when cruising......wife says it booms which it does at around 2k but then so does she and I've still got her.

Yep - dark blue. Usually can be spotten sideways around Tower Bridge in London.

That's what he told me about the power and torque. He's had it dyno tested I think. Spent quite a lot on it....

Just joined the forum..... Tubi sounds fantastic, especially at full boost and is not too boomy at motorway pace. Car will get dyno'd again soon but figures originally from weltmeister were 536.5bhp and 640lbft of torque... sadly it fried its standard clutch in a couple of hundred miles!!

Car 'sounds' lovely. What were the power at the wheel figures for your dyno run, if you don't mind my asking.

Have not got the figures to hand but will get full details when it is tested again as I've got to stick some new corsa's on it after a couple of trackdays shreaded the michelins and that'll give me the excuse to go back to weltmeister.
