I'm waiting on a summons for a speeding offence (110mph, M4), last month. I've come home today to find that a company called 'Secure Mail' has tried to deliver something requiring ID and a signature. They're re-directing it to my work address now, but bearing in mind I always get stuff delivered to work when I buy online, I'm thinking it might be the summons?

Anyone know how they normally arrive?!

Cheers!

Woo-hoo! Must have won something then! Not that I ever enter competitions...

That said, I've potentially got another 5 months to wait for the summons...

Are you expecting a passport by any chance or a Visa for America? Secure Mail do a lot of work for the Government and the US Embassy.

Nah, nothing like that. Very odd!

Well, just get a minion to sign for it, then you can always say you never got it, if it went missing. Personally, I'd ignore it if you don't know what it is. Lets face it, it won't be a holiday or a free car will it!

I'd have thought that if it was re-directed to another address it would be like a 'Get out of jail free' card.

Sure a good lawyer would make a strong case for dismissal.

My summons arrived by normal post but addressed to the wrong person. So I ignored it, then the bib turned up a while later, well according to my neighbours several times, game them plently to talk about!.

So even if it is the summons and you say you didn't get it, then expect a visit!

My solicitor said I had a good case as the name was incorrect (for one thing, several things were wrong) but in reality all I would do is p155 off the magistrate and get a harder sentance. Pleaded guilty to 103.4 and got 540 fine and 5 points

Got it - phew! Tickets for Roger Waters that I'd ordered months ago! Usually I'd have them sent to the office, but Ticketmaster are funny like that and only send them to the cardholder's address.

Panic over for now....
