The velcro that holds the roof to the body on my 97 Chimp 450 is pealing away from the bodywork and, I believe, is letting water in. (the bit sewn to the roof is fine - it's just where it attaches to the top of the body behind the doors that's coming away)

What's the best glue to use to re-stick it? or should I just replace the velcro strips?

Any ideas from those who've had this problem much appreciated.

Thanks

Mine was lifting slightly, I used superglue, carefully applied with the tip of a small screwdriver. It has workde. You could use any impact adhesive also. Just depends how easy the offending area is to get to.

Mine was doing just that and I used contact adhesive. It's worked a treat.

Thanks for the tips. Apart from super glue do you recommend any particular brand of the gooey stuff?

Araldite or B&Q ownbrand..... both work just as well, and the B&Q stuff comes in a twin tube job with dual plunger to give you just the same volume of glue and hardener.

Mine is secured with black rivets, 3 of. Better than glue.
